The Placement Cell of Sri Venkateswara College is a prolific student-body which works with the aim of bridging the gap between the recruiters and the students. The Cell constitutes of a dedicated, determined and hardworking team of students with an objective to get the students of the institution placed in the best of companies. Needless to say, we also rope in opportunities for students pursuing professional qualifications like Chartered Accountancy and Actuarial Sciences. We have been instrumental in organizing sessions like Career Counseling Workshops, Soft-Skill Sessions, Leadership Talks and various Discipline-Specific Workshops.

 

Under the able guidance of the Convener Ms Sunita Chhabra and the Staff Council, the Placement Cell has been able to increase the number of companies visiting the campus for hiring students and offering internship opportunities.

The Cell comprises of the Core Team, along with a determined team of Placement Coordinators and Members. Many reputed organizations have believed in us and have regularly been hiring the best of talent from our college. These include Deloitte India (Offices of the US), KPMG India, Ken Research, E&Y India, Boston Consulting Group, PwC, Grant Thornton LLP, Willis Towers Watson, D.E Shaw India, Wipro, UrbanClap, Accenture, etc. The highest package offered in the Session 2020-21 has been INR 19.25 LPA by D.E Shaw, followed by INR 13.92 LPA by Accenture.

A lot of informative workshops have also been organized for students across all the years and courses. It is our aim to not only bring job opportunities to the students of our esteemed institution but also help them in career development. Workshops and seminars have been organized for the same in the past, by Deloitte USI, Teach for India, T.I.M.E, Career Launcher, etc.

The cell also works hard to provide a vast plethora of internship opportunities to the students. Internships in various fields like Marketing, Sales, Research, Finance, Data Analytics, HR, Content Writing, etc were offered. Various Corporate, NGOs and Startups have hired interns from our college. These include IIFM, D.E Shaw, Deloitte USI, Zomato Feeding India, IDBI Federal Bank, Unkultured, Navjyoti India Foundation, Make A Difference (M.A.D.), Ink Pot, Canva, Decathlon, KPMG Global Services and Chegg among others.
